DESCRIPTION:Third Thursday Screenings \nJoin me on third Thursdays to view my selection of demos\, interviews\, lessons from various artists using various media. I’ll choose an approximately hour long video each month to spark your imagination\, feed your brain\, and inspire you to create more.  Bring a lunch or a snack and sit back and relax as we watch other people do the hard work. Maybe we’ll learn something! \nFree for Tuesday Open Studio attendees. For drop-ins\, a $5 donation to the studio is appreciated.  \nTuesday\, April 18th I have two videos for us to vote on. Both are wonderful inspiration. What we don’t watch this month will go back into the pool. Or\, if you’re feeling watchy you can watch the second one while I nap in the beanbag! Most of the videos are 45-60 minutes. The videos are a pastel landscape demonstration full of vibrant color and an oil/acrylic demonstration with cows. Both are full of information that transcends the medium and will help you in your art no matter what you paint with!

SUMMARY:Felted Vessels with Lisa Hinrichs
DESCRIPTION:FELTED VESSELS with LISA HINRICHS\nI am so thrilled to welcome Lisa Hinricks to the studio! Lisa is a fiber and mixed media artist living in St. Louis\, MIssouri.  She has mastered felt making\, dye techniques\, painting and other fiber processes\, studying with some of the most talented teachers in the field over many years.  Her work is exhibited locally and nationally and has been included in various Fiber Art publications. You can see her current solo show through October 29\, 2022 at The Foundry Art Center in St. Charles\, where she also maintains a studio.\n \nIt’s a day of felting! In this class\, learn how to make a delightful small felted bowl to store your trinkets or favorite plant. You will learn how to shape wool around a resist\, add embellishments and finally shape your little bowl in your hands. You will create a couple of small vessels using various techniques. Christy will provide a sweet little aloe plant for anyone who would like to use their beautiful new vessel as a planter.\nWe will break for 30 minutes for lunch\, so bring a sack. Refrigerator available.  Wear old clothes\, and bring a towel or two. If you’re getting rid of old towels\, the studio is accepting towel donations. It turns out we do a lot of messy stuff here.\nSeating is limited so grab your friends and sign up early! \nDate: Saturday\, March 4th\nTime: 10-4pm\nRegistration Fee: $85 Materials Fee: $10-15 payable in class (depending on materials choices. DESCRIPTION:I’ve invited Jill Kettler back to the studio for another wonderful day of weaving and learning. You’ve seen her work in many local art festivals and you KNOW you love it as much as I do. I have been coveting one of her amazing creations for a very long time. Her sense of color and texutre are amazing. Now\, you can spend time with her and learn the art of rigid heddle weaving from the master\, all while creating your own beautiful lace scarf. Jill will have looms pre-warped and ready to weave. You’ll go home with a lot more knowledge and a GORGEOUS new scarf.  \nSeating is very limited\, so sign up to reserve your seat. There are no RSVPs for this class. Once your registration is complete\, there are no refunds or cancellations. If you cannot attend\, you may transfer your registration to another student. SUMMARY:Geli Plate Printing Intensive - Holiday Cards
DESCRIPTION:Learn how fun it is to print with a geli plate. This process is SO much fun that you’ll be buried under a pile of prints before you know it. We’ll explore process\, color\, layering\, and texture and print until we’re printed out. Then\, turn your prints into fun and original holiday cards. Your family and friends will be amazed when you send them the coolest hand made cards they have ever received. This process is so fun and addictive that even my husband enjoys it! Using gelatine plates as printing plates\, we will employ paint\, brayers\, stencils\, and brushes to create wonderfully colorful and textured papers to use in our card making. Students will receive 10 cards\, envelopes\, and sealing stickers to get them started with their holidy list.  We’ll be making a LOT of prints\, so you’ll have plenty of material to take home and continue your card making and mixed media art. \nIf you have stencils you love\, bring them!! You can use them in your prints.
