Bring your partner\, adult child\, best buddy or maybe your mostly tolerable neighbor to collaborate on an instructor-led abstract painting series of four 6×6 gallery wrapped (ready to hang) canvases. We will approach the paintings like a board game with spinners and prompts\, and you will each go home with two finished pieces that represent your collaboration with your loved one (or tolerated one) !  I’ll provide some sweet treats\, but feel free to bring a beverage (adult or otherwise) and/or snack. You’ll learn some new skills\, make some new friends\, and really enjoy the process of making a collaborative abstract painting. Frame these gorgeous abstract creations or use them as collage material or as backgrounds for your artwork. \nThis is a print frenzy! I will demo various monoprinting techniques and then we print print print print print. And print. We will bury ourselves in PILES of printed paper full of color\, texture\, line\, and possibility. Use these papers for your mixed media artwork\, collages\, or as art in their own right. You will go home with a billion (give or take) prints and the knowledge to create amazing monoprints. DESCRIPTION:We keep having so much fun with our shibori classes that we should do it again and again!! Join me for a late summer session of blue blue blue. I’ll teach you all about shibori dyeing including traditional folding methods\, easy dye bath composition\, and process. This. Is. Addictive. Truly. We’ll do some practice work on floursack towels for your kitchen\, and then you’ll have the option to do a larger piece. You’ll have sooo much fun. And\, you’ll probably end up with blue somewhere. Wear your ‘creative clothes’ and bring an old towel\, because this is messy!! If you’re getting rid of some old towels\, the studio is accepting a few towel donations. Turns out we do a LOT of messy stuff!! Bring a lunch/snack – refrigerator available.
